|
The Carolinas-Virginias Team Match competition originated in 1957, to provide golfers who have excelled in state and local competitions the opportunity to represent their home state in an interstate match.
The matches include a daily super seniors match, three senior matches, and eight (any age) matches. The super seniors must be at least 60 years of age who have previously played in the matches. The intent of this addition is to honor our former players and return them to the competition and its inherent camaraderie.
Those who have been selected in previous years are aware of the honor and prestige of representing their state in the Carolinas-Virginias Team Matches.
The traditions of good golf, respectful sportsmanship, and great friendships are the goals of this competition. Just to be asked if you are available to play is a source of pride to women golfers throughout the Carolinas.
