Whispering Pines, NC --- Allyson Markiewicz of Charlotte, N.C. shot a 75 on Wednesday to go with her Tuesday’s round of 78 to win the 3rd WCGA Junior Girls’ Golf Championship. Taylor Dodson of Aiken, S.C. was runner-up by way of shooting the tournament’s low round of 73 on Wednesday.

The Junior Division was won by Eden Howard of Lamar, S.C. with rounds of 76-79.
Nicolette Donovan of Cary, N.C. was 2nd . The Junior Division plays a shorter set of tees.

The Sub-Junior Division was won by Amy Wooten from Clinton, N.C. in a sudden death play-off with Preeya Shah from Fayetteville, N.C.

This Championship is conducted by the Women’s Carolinas Golf Association. Girls who live in NC and SC, and who will graduate from high school in 2012 or later were eligible to compete.
