2ND WCGA JUNIOR GIRLS’ GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP
SANTEE-COOPER COUNTRY CLUB, SANTEE, S.C.
JULY 15-16, 2008
Santee, SC --- Kayla Scuipider of Etowah, N.C. followed up her Tuesday’s
medalist round of 77 with a score of 76 on Wednesday to win the 2nd WCGA Junior
Girls’ Golf Championship. Allison Emrey of Charlotte, N.C. was second with
rounds of 79-77.
Taylor Dodson of Aiken, S.C. won the Junior Division with scores of 77-76.
Victoria Allred of Pfafftown, N.C. was second with rounds of 82-78. The Junior
Division plays a shorter set of tees.
The 2007 Sub-Junior champion, Nicolette Donovan of Cary, N.C. successfully
defended her title by shooting 45-44. In second place was Leigh Oakley from
Aiken, S.C. with rounds of 52-48. The Sub-Junior Division plays nine holes each
day.
This championship is conducted by the Women’s Carolinas Golf Association. Girls
who live in NC and SC, and who will graduate from high school in 2011 or later
were eligible to compete.
